Lauren Shook is Assistant Professor of English at Texas Lutheran University, where she researches and teaches Shakespeare, food studies, women’s writing, critical race studies, and community-engaged pedagogy. Her publications include articles on seventeenth-century poet Lucy Hutchinson and on Toni Morrison’s A Mercy. She spent Fall 2019 at the Folger Shakespeare Library as a Before-Farm-to-Table short-term fellow. There she completed a book chapter on Coriolanus and corn hoarding for her current book project, A Place at Shakespeare’s Table.
